
MY STORY
J. Steven Critcher is an architect/artist/creative bricoleur* working in a wide variety of media.
Born with an appreciation for all things natural and beautiful in the mountains of North Carolina, Steve attended North Carolina School of the arts as a child, later majoring in both Fine Art and Architecture at the University of North Carolina. He received his graduate degree in Architecture from the University of North Carolina in 1992, and relocated to the Valley of the Sun in 1994 as a licensed architect, winning numerous awards in both the architectural and artistic realms.
Mr. Critcher is licensed by the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration to practice Architecture. In 2005, he entered private practice and now has over 20 years of multi-faceted experience, and has completed numerous projects across the United States.
Services include architectural and interior design as well as
due-diligence and construction monitoring.

*Bricoleur - A French word with no exact English equivalent to describe a creative approach exemplified by one who uses materials and resources available to fulfill an objective. Loosely translated as a "jack-of-all-trades".
